Worship Services
Thursday evenings at 6:30pm and Sunday morning, 7:45 & 10:30am ~ unless special time is listed below.
January Worship Themes:
February 6 + 9 = Here Am I; Send Me (Seminarian Nathan Golisch)
February 13 + 16 = Blessings and Woes (Pastor Ben Golisch)
February 20 + 23 = Love Your Enemies (Pastor Ben Golisch)
February 27 + March 2 = The Lasting Radiance of Our Savior (Pastor Ben Golisch)
Worship notes:
Because Easter is late this year, the whole month of February we remain in the season of Epiphany. The Gospels focus on the early preaching ministry of Jesus. There are three things to note this month. February 6 and 9, Nathan Golisch will be our guest preacher. Nathan is a second-year seminary student and a son of the congregation. Lord willing, he will receive his vicar call in May. February 23, the children of our Sunday School will sing in the 10:30am service. Finally, February 27 and March 2, we conclude the season of Epiphany on the Mount of Transfiguration. It’s the last Sunday before Ash Wednesday and Lent. (More on that next month.)

Worship
Each worship service is a blessed opportunity for the family of God to get together and listen to the Word of the Lord as well as pray and praise God together. As the psalmist wrote, there is such joy whenever we join our hearts together in worship: "I rejoiced with those who said to me, 'Let us go to the house of the Lord'!" (Psalm 122:1)
Our services follow a "Path of Worship" which is printed out for everyone who attends. This makes the service easy to follow for members and visitors alike. We sing a wonderful blend of favorite Christian hymns as well as newer Christian songs. Each week we have a theme founded in God's Word and reinforced by our musical choices. This nurtures our members in their faith even as it introduces new visitors to the joys of God's grace.
And there is strength to be found gathering together in the presence of God. The writer to the Hebrews advises us to worship regularly not just for the praise of the Lord but also for mutual encouragement, because each day this world becomes more discouraging. (See Hebrews 10:22-25, but especially verse 25)
