Our Sunday School exists to
"make disciples of all nations...teaching them to obey
everything I have commanded you". (Matthew 28:19-20)
In our Sunday School classes, children learn about
their Lord in various ways. In addition to hearing or
reading the stories of the New Testament this year,
the students will also “see” the stories
in videos, and “live” the stories by acting
some of them out! Some days they will even be playing
games to review previous lessons. Learning Bible passages
or portions of Luther's Catechism, doing worksheets,
making crafts related to the day's lesson, and sing
songs of praise are just some of the activities the
children will enjoy.
Sunday School meets during the school year from 9:00
- 10:15 on Sunday mornings in the lower level of
the church and in the Preschool and Kindergarten class
rooms. We have classes for children from ages 3 years
to 8th grade.
Family Game Day
On January 17 we will hold a special "Family Game Day" to review all the stories
we've learned so far this year. Children are encouraged to invite other family members
to join them at Sunday School that day. We'll play games like Bible Jeopardy,
Bible Baseball, Noah's Ark Memory. Questions will straight from our Bible lessons, so it
will be a great review! We'll also have coffee and donuts. Don't miss it!
Lenten Supper
Sunday School will be sponsoring the Lenten supper on Wednesday, March 17 at 5:00. Parents will be contacted
to donate food and help prepare the meal. Older students will be asked to help serve and clean up.
