Morning Kindergarten Teacher
Mrs. Katy Hennen

Katy joined the St. Paul Little Learner staff in 2006 as a Daycare Teacher. Her formal education was received from Wisconsin Lutheran College where she graduated with an Elementary Education degree in 1996. Upon graduation she worked at a child care center in Germantown, Wisconsin for three years. For the next seven years she had on the job training, staying at home with her children.

Katy has been a member at St, Paul since 1998. On the weekends you will find her here teaching Sunday School to second graders!

Katy's husband Jamie works at a software company in Hartford. They are blessed with three children; Danny, Joshua, and Grace.

Katy is excited to be back into the classroom and teaching again. She looks forward to sharing Gods' word with His little lambs and to see them grow in their faith and knowledge of Him.

Preschool Four's and afternoon Kindergarten Teacher
Mrs. Melissa Schmidt

In 2002, Melissa (Missy) received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from UW-Green Bay, along with minors in Human Development, Early Childhood, and Elementary Science. Upon graduation she taught full-day kindergarten in the Sheboygan Area School District for four years. After having her first child, she took a part-time job teaching 7th grade Language Arts and Science in the Germantown School District for the last three years.

Missy and her husband Ben have been married almost six years. They reside in West Bend, where they are members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. They are the proud parents of two beautiful boys-Senate, age 3, and Solomon, who is 7 months old.

Missy is happy to be returning to teaching early childhood as the 4K and afternoon 5K teacher here at St. Paul’s. She looks forward to spending part of her days at home with her sons, and the other part of the day helping her “Little Learners” grow in their faith in God’s word and knowledge of the wonderful world He created!

Preschool Three's Teacher
Mrs. Stephanie Volkmann

Stephanie teaches the three-year-old class for St. Paul Little Learners Preschool and also takes time to help out in the child care program. She is a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and has been a Little Learners teacher since 1999. Stephanie has three wonderful children, and a loving husband. She loves working with children and is thankful for all of the "little lambs" God places in her care each year! Stephanie says "Besides Jesus' death on the cross there is no better gift than seeing a smiling three-year-old who is happy to see you in the morning!"

Preschool Administrator/Childcare Administrator
Mrs. Lisa Meissner

Lisa began her teaching career in 1987. She has been the Little Learner's Administrator since 2004. She holds a Master of Education degree and is licensed by the State of Wisconsin.

Lisa is a lifelong resident of Slinger and of St. Paul church. She is married with 5 children.

Mrs. Andrea Schodron
Assistant Daycare Director

I have been a part of the Child Care Program at St. Paul since 2004. I hold the state requirements for a childcare provider in the state of Wisconsin, and have spent the last seven years in the childcare field.

I have been a lifelong member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod.

I have a wonderful husband Joel, and two beautiful children Samuel, 8 and Sarah, 7. Sam is in the second grade at peace Lutheran and Sarah is in the 1st grade at Peace as well.

I enjoy spending time with my husband, children, and friends. My home is always filled with children playing and having fun! I also love to spend time in the garden reading books, and traveling.

I truly enjoy working with children and sharing the Word of God and what it can bring to their lives. I especially love to hear the children sing Gods; praise. I also love to hear children’s laughter, and how hey always make me laugh!

Mrs. Janet Fenske Teacher
I am a life- long member of WELS and came from a teaching family. I was a Christian Day school teacher for 17 years prior to retirement 4 years ago. I have 6 children, 3 of whom are also teachers. My husband and I currently reside near Jackson, and attend Morning Star there.

I enjoy working with children, and teaching them about our Savior is truly a highlight of my teaching.

I enjoy reading and working in our garden. I am a home body_ love my home and family.

I look forward to working at Little Learners- once again sharing my love for Jesus with little children.

Mrs. Amanda Lewig
I am an Elementary Education Major and just this past May graduated Martin Luther College. My husband Daniel and I have just relocated to the Slinger area so Daniel may attend WI Lutheran Seminary.

I love working with children and integrating education into their lives wherever possible. I am greatly looking forward to using my education here at St. Paul. I am a life-long WELS member and am very happy to be working in a church.

Daniel and I have been married for two years and are greatly looking forward to becoming a part of the Slinger community. My interests include reading, animals, movies, and exercise. I am very excited to be working with the children here and look forward to building relationships with the people here.

Mrs. Marlene Lober
I have been subbing for our St. Paul staff the past two years. I will now work here every Friday.

I come to this staff with 28 years of teaching experience in Elementary Education. My most recent years were at St. John’s, Newburg. I attended Doctor Martin Luther College.

My husband Paul and I are members of Morning Star Lutheran in Jackson. Our family consists of 4 children & 5 grandchildren, 2 which I care for each Tuesday.

Children have always been a big part of my life. Teaching has been a rewarding career for me and a wonderful way to serve my Lord.
