| Dartball
Our co-ed dartball team plays Wednesday nights at
7:30 from September through February at area Lutheran
churches. Home games are played in the Christian Family
Center Commons. Three games are played each night, and
each game takes about 30 minutes to play.
Dartball is scored like baseball. A team of 9 or more
players each throw wooden darts (with sharp metal points)
down a 20 foot court at the dart board. Darts count
as singles, doubles, triples, home runs, balls, strikes
and outs depending on where they hit the board. To help
even the playing field, a handicap is calculated for
each player.
There are currently 20 teams in the Kettle Moraine
Lutheran Dartball League, with members ranging in age
from 13 to 90. St. Paul has been a member of the league
for more than 50 years. League play usually starts the
second Wednesday of September and finishes the Wednesday
before Ash Wednesday. An annual tournament is held in
March, followed by the league banquet.
Members of the 2008-2009 team are Norm and Lois Krueger, Betty Lighthizer,
Harold Meissner, Ryan Meissner, Fred Morris, David Otte,
Robert Schultz, Allen and Nancy Schulz, Gilbert and
Janet Selle, John Retzlaff, and Charles Vollrath.
