Getting Started

This page contains documents which can be used to plan and carry out your congregation's Path to Victory Basketball Camp.

Before You Begin

Most of the documents are Microsoft Word or Excel files.  However, if you have problems viewing documents due to formatting, you may wish to view the pdf version.  In order to do so, you must have Adobe Reader installed on your computer.  For a  free download, visit www.adobe.com or click the logo below.  Word files are slightly smaller than the pdf files.

Devotions

Click here for devotions that connect God's Word with basketball and life in general.  Several choices are given for each day.  In addition, Pastor Henrich from Atonement Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. has supplied five devotions for use at basketball camps.

One file contains a grade-level lesson plan sample for each day of the camp.  The other document provides detailed descriptions of the drills and activities from the lesson plan samples, as well as additional activities.

Brochure - A colorful brochure is available, and most printers can print it in grayscale as well.  An economical method for printing large quantities is to print the black and white brochure in grayscale and copy it onto bright paper, such as Astrobrights.  (color pdf version)  (black & white pdf version)

Newspaper Article (pdf) - Many free papers which rely on advertising revenue will write a newsworthy story when an ad is placed for a community event.  The article can appear before the event or after it has taken place.

Newspaper Ad - A sample of a local newspaper ad from 2007.  Also available as a pdf.

Logos - The logos below are available for use in your advertising.  To download the files, right-click on the image and then click "Save Picture As..."

Ordering Information - Images and resources for ordering Basketball Edition New Testament Bibles, Real Hope books, basketballs, and t-shirts.  (pdf version)  We also have a pdf file with information on adjustable hoops that "piggyback" onto existing hoops.

Bible Stickers - Usually stuck to the front or back cover of the Path to Victory Bibles, these labels provide contact information for your ministry, as well as www.whataboutjesus.com.  This sample is from 2007, and the graphic on the Bible sticker matches the t-shirt design for that year.  You can delete the graphic and add your church's logo or other artwork.  The stickers are formatted to be printed on labels that are 2"x4".  (You will need to install Avery's free DesignPro 5 Limited software.)

Name Tags - These stickers are simple nametags with the Path to Victory logo, and are designed to be printed on 1"x4" labels.  (You will need to install Avery's free DesignPro 5 Limited software.)

Signage - This page contains links to files that will enable you to print station signs for the third day of the camp, as well as signs to help participants locate the camp check-in table on the first day.
