Our Beliefs
St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS).
The Wisconsin Synod started in 1850 in the state of Wisconsin. As a member of this church body, we are:
A Christ-centered congregation. We preach Jesus Christ, the crucified
and risen Lord, the only Savior for all the people of the world. Through
His sufferings, death and resurrection, we have the forgiveness of sins
and eternal life.
A Bible-believing congregation We teach that the Bible in its entirety is the true and
inspired Word of God. We believe the Bible is the only authority for Christian faith and life.
We aim to share God's Word in all its truth and simplicity.
An evangelical congregation This means that we are a church that desires to bring the
Good News of Jesus to all people. The WELS has a congregation in all fifty states (and Canada)
and carries out mission work in fifteen foreign countries.
A people-caring congregation We offer friendship, support, counsel, direction and love.
The people of our congregation care about other people - and that includes you.
