The Mother-Daughter Banquet was held on Tuesday,
May 6, 2008. This year's theme was a Hawaiian Luau. What
a colorful evening! The night began with a Social Hour
at 5:30pm which included a Silent Auction, with proceeds
going toward the organ fund. Our Boy Pioneers helped serve the
pot luck meal and the Grace Notes children's choir played
"Name That Tune" on the hand bells. It was a very enjoyable
evening. |

| Ladies Aid meets the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 at
church. The purpose of this group is to afford the ladies of the congregation
the opportunity to grow in spiritual understanding, to be informed of the
activities of the congregation and synod, and to serve the Lord by assisting
the church. This assistance has come in many ways, such as outfitting the
kitchen, donating Altar Cloths, tables, chairs and other items, and providing
meals for many varied occasions.
Some of the functions and festivals supported by Ladies Aid include:
St Paul's Easter Breakfast
Mother/Daughter Spring Fling
Social Gathering of Area Ladies Aid Church Groups
Visits to Shut-Ins
Gifts and Care Packages to college students
Serve meals at St Paul's funerals

Lutheran Women's Missionary Society (LWMS) |
| Twice a year (May and October) the LWMS hosts a mission rally at an area
congregation. These rallies feature a guest speaker from one of our synod's
mission fields, worker training schools, or parish service commissions.
Special LWMS mission offerings support mission projects that do not receive
funds from the synod's budget. |
Spring Rally 2008
Apache mission in Arizona
The speaker will be Mrs. Linda Baumann, one of the teachers at St. John’s, who previously
served one of the schools in our Apache mission field in Arizona.
