"Hark the voice of Jesus calling,
Who will go and work for me? ... If you
cannot preach like Paul..."
How can you work for Jesus? Spring and Fall Clean Up Days may provide
a unique opportunity for you to help take care of God's house. The church, just
like your home, needs periodic cleaning. There is something for everyone
to do, whether you prefer the indoors or outdoors. Some of the tasks include
cleaning out the garage, raking, pruning, vacuuming pews, cleaning
light fixtures, washing windows, cleaning woodwork and cleaning bleachers.
Young and old are encouraged to help if they are able.
Work usually begins at 8:30 and goes until noon, with a light lunch provided
for all workers. A list of chores is posted and workers can choose tasks according to
their abilities. Please consider giving an hour or more of your time to
help beautify the house of the Lord.
Christmas Decorating
Decorating the church for Christmas has been a long
standing tradition at St. Paul. Members of all ages
gather in fellowship to decorate the chapel and the
Christian Family Center beginning the Sunday after
Thanksgiving. Members can come in any time during
that week that is convenient for them and select an
area to decorate. All decorations are available at church.
Please consider giving an hour or more of your time
to help beautify the house of the Lord.
In 2009, the decorating starts on Sunday, November 29.
