Quilting Group

Quilters Wanted!
All levels of experience welcome,
beginners to veterans,
hand sewers to machine sewers

The St. Paul's Quilters Group was established in 2004. We made stained glass panels for the church and Christian Family Center, participates in Project Linus, making and donating quilts for seriously ill children in hospitals and has donated quilts for several events. In 2009 we started making environmentally friendly tote bags. Sales from these bags are donated to the organ fund.

We meet on Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00pm and Wednesday morning from 9:00-11:00am. Our members' abilities range from beginners to more than 30 years of experience. We use a variety of quilting techniques including applique, paper piecing and foundation. Machine and hand quilters or anyone interested in learning are always welcome. Come and share your sewing knowledge and get to know other women in the St. Paul family by enjoying a common interest and hobby.

For more information contact Becky Schall or the church office. Donations for fabric and notions are welcome.

The St. Paul Quilter’s are selling “enviro-friendly” tote bags with proceeds going to the Organ Fund.  These unique bags come in a variety of sizes, styles and colors.  There are styles made from recycled fabric which were used as fabric samples and have been lovingly sewn by the quilters of our parish to make gorgeous bags.  They are terrific for groceries, books, and your up coming farmer market purchases.  Prices vary.
Help the Organ Fund and the environment with your purchases.  A display can be found and purchases made in the library.  Checks can be made out to St. Paul Lutheran Church, and in the memo space of your check write “Organ Fund”.  Thank you for your support.  The Quilting Group is continuing to work on some seasonal totes.
